City Approves Two Motions Addressing Excessive Soil Export

The Los Angeles City Council has taken an important step in approving the two motions put forward by Councilman Paul Koretz that address the excessive soil export and truck hauling in the Los Angeles hillside neighborhoods. The motions adopted were in direct response to our Alliance statement of position.  While not as comprehen sive as we proposed, these motions will lay the foundation leading to an Interim Control Order to stop soil export and to provide a time frame during which the city and community can pass meaningful ordinances to restore safety and security to the hillsides.
